Lipscomb Cars in Chartham, Canterbury celebrate the opening of its impressive new Volvo Dealership this month following delays caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.
Relocating to its larger new site adjacent to their existing facility on the A28 Ashford Road, Chartham, the showroom features a signature lounge area, complete with Scandinavian-designed furniture. Visitors can relax in the lounge with Swedish cakes and coffee, or carry on working with free Wi-Fi. Large exterior and interior glazing allows customers to see all activity in the large new workshops from – what feels like – the comfort of their living room.
Lipscomb Canterbury has also pledged that no refreshments will be served using single-use plastics – in fact, these have been removed from the showroom completely. This is just one of the ways Volvo is bringing to life its pledge to turn the tide on plastic, with an even bigger ambition to ensure at least 25 per cent of the plastics used in every newly launched Volvo car will be made from recycled material from 2025.
This impressive new facility expansion boasts a large showroom and a greater display of petrol, fully electric and hybrid cars, as well as a greater Volvo Selekt Approved Used models selection in a branded area alongside the showroom. Over 100 different checks ensure these approved used models are not just safe, but performing to a high standard with the latest Volvo parts and software.
Lipscomb are also offering the new ‘Volvo Personal Service’ meaning technicians will liaise with the customer from the point of booking, right through to explaining the services – which they themselves will have carried out, this helps develop confidence and trust whilst two Personal Service Technicians can work together on each car (whilst maintaining social distancing measures), reducing the time it takes for the service to be carried out.
Peter Barnes, Managing Director of Lipscomb Cars Ltd said: “We are thrilled to be unveiling our new dealership facility, it’s been wonderful to see the reactions of our customers as the build has taken place alongside the existing facility giving them a great insight as it has developed and our first visitors have been delighted with the layout and concept .
“The launch of our new Volvo Personal Service at this dealership will help to connect our customers with their technicians for a smooth and efficient experience, we have already implemented this concept at our Maidstone Volvo dealership and it is working very well. Our focus is always on putting the customer first and giving them a high-quality service which they know and can trust.
“We are settling in and are raring to show off our new showroom, so look forward to welcoming customers new and old for a cup of coffee and a chat about their car purchase and servicing needs in a safe, clean and socially-distanced experience, allowing customers to visit us in complete confidence.”
