Relocation of Volvo Service & Parts Operation from Lipscomb Ashford
Lipscomb has withdrawn their Volvo service and parts facilities at Chart Road, Ashford from Friday 29th November 2019.
Our Ashford location has continued to offer Volvo service and parts facilities following its refranchise to Fiat in 2008. In this time we have continually developed our dealership facilities for Volvo at our Chartham, Canterbury location and at Aylesford, Maidstone with recent further investment in the Volvo franchise facilities.
I am pleased to confirm we are opening a brand new facility next to our current Chartham, Canterbury dealership in early 2020; this represents a further £5.5 million investment in the Volvo franchise and it will boast the very latest facilities to maintain, service and repair Volvo cars from the highly skilled and dedicated workforce there.
Our Aylesford business having also undergone further major investment in 2016 including a dedicated new showroom alongside its existing modern workshops and trade parts distribution service completes our representation.
Unfortunately, the cost of maintaining such facilities with technical expertise has risen to the point where it is not viable to upgrade the existing Ashford location. We therefore designed these new locations with capacity combined with depth of staff and flexibility for future needs with increased workshop capacity, parts and dedicated sales facilities. Both locations offer collection and delivery, courtesy lift service and loan hire cars with further assistance for onward travel. They will boast large showrooms with comfortable lounge areas for you to wait for your car with our unique ‘Volvo Personal Service’ and increased used car sales presence.
We recognise the slight inconvenience this move will make for some of our loyal customers but I would like to assure you that we are committed to mitigating this with the improved facilities we can provide with ‘destination facilities’ for the future.
