What is AdBlue?
AdBlue is a combination of urea and de-ionised water, stored in a separate tank in the vehicle, designed to significantly reduce the nasty pollutants emitted by most diesel engines. Very simply, AdBlue is injected into the exhaust system to react with harmful nitrogen oxides with the resulting output of nitrogen and water. If an AdBlue warning light has appeared on your dashboard, don't wait to top up. Running out of AdBlue can significantly increase your car's emissions, and if left, can prevent your engine from starting altogether.
